DirectCarpetRunners.ca provides stair runners intended for do-it-yourself (DIY) installation or installation by a contractor chosen by the customer. By purchasing and installing our products, you agree to the following terms.

General Responsibility

Installation of a stair runner requires tools, fasteners, and proper technique. The purchaser assumes full responsibility for the installation process and the condition of the staircase before, during, and after installation.

Direct Carpet Inc. is not responsible for installation results.

Installation Guidance

We may provide measuring guides, videos, instructions, or advice to assist customers. These materials are provided for general informational purposes only and are not a guarantee of outcome.

Every staircase differs in construction, material, and condition. Proper installation remains the responsibility of the installer.

Damage to Property

Direct Carpet Inc. is not liable for any damage to:

  • Stairs

  • Hardwood or flooring

  • Walls, trim, or paint

  • Subfloor or structure

  • Existing finishes

This includes damage caused by staples, adhesives, tools, or installation techniques.

Safety & Injury

Installing stair runners involves physical work and tools that may cause injury if used improperly.

By installing the product, you acknowledge and accept all risks associated with installation and use. Direct Carpet Inc. is not responsible for injuries occurring during installation or use of the product.

Third-Party Installers

If you hire an installer or contractor, they act independently and are not employees or agents of Direct Carpet Inc. We are not responsible for workmanship, damages, or disputes arising from third-party installation services.

Product Use

The customer is responsible for ensuring the runner is properly secured before use. Improper installation may create a tripping hazard.
